AdBlue Problems in Manchester? We Fix Them Properly

AdBlue and SCR specialists based in Salford, covering Manchester and the whole of Greater Manchester. Countdown warnings, NOx sensors, injectors, pumps and heaters — we diagnose the fault, give you a fixed price up front and get it repaired, usually the same day.

Where the law stands: on a UK road vehicle the emissions system must be present and working — a missing, modified or defective AdBlue, DPF, EGR or catalytic converter is an MOT failure today, and Government proposals published in 2026 would make tampering an offence in its own right with fines from £1,000. We do not switch emissions systems off. We repair them so the warnings stop and the vehicle stays road legal.

AdBlue faults we deal with

AdBlue countdown to non-start

700 / 500 / 200 mile warnings counting down to a no-start condition.

NOx sensor faults

Upstream or downstream NOx sensor failure throwing emissions codes.

AdBlue injector & pump

Blocked injector, crystallised nozzle, failed metering pump or pressure faults.

Tank level & heater faults

Wrong level readings, frozen fluid, failed tank heater and wiring issues.

SCR efficiency below threshold

P20EE and related codes after the catalyst or dosing system degrades.

Limp mode & power loss

Reduced power triggered by the emissions system rather than the engine itself.

Common questions

Is it legal to switch an AdBlue system off?

No. On a road vehicle the emissions system must be present and working, and an MOT tester must fail any vehicle where it has been removed or tampered with. Government proposals published in 2026 would also make tampering a separate offence with fines from £1,000. We repair AdBlue systems instead — it keeps the vehicle legal, insurable and worth more when you sell it.

How much does AdBlue repair cost?

Diagnostics and repair start from £180. We confirm a fixed price once we know the vehicle, mileage and fault codes — no surprises when you collect.

My AdBlue countdown says the engine will not restart.

Bring it in. We fix what caused it — NOx sensor, injector, pump, heater or level sensor — and clear the countdown. Most vehicles are sorted the same day.
