How much does DPF repair cost?

DPF work starts from £180 depending on how blocked the filter is and the vehicle. Diagnostics are from £45 and come off the bill if we do the work.

Can a blocked DPF be saved without replacing it?

In most cases yes. If soot loading is recoverable we run a forced regeneration or deep clean the filter. Replacement is only recommended when the substrate is cracked, melted or ash-loaded beyond cleaning.

Where do you carry out DPF work?

Most DPF work is done at our Salford workshop (M7 1UL) as it gives the best results. We also offer a mobile service across Greater Manchester where the job allows.

Live DPF diagnostics

We read soot and ash loading, differential pressure, exhaust temperatures and every stored code before touching anything, so you pay for the right fix.

Forced regeneration

Where soot loading is recoverable we run a controlled forced regen on the ramp and verify the filter clears properly on live data.

Deep filter cleaning

Heavily loaded filters are cleaned properly rather than guessed at, then re-tested to confirm the pressure differential is back in spec.

Sensors & pipework

Differential pressure sensors, exhaust temperature sensors and split or blocked pipework are a common false cause. We test and replace them where needed.

Adaptation reset

After the repair, soot counters and adaptations are reset correctly so the ECU sees the real state of the filter.

Honest advice on cause

Short-journey driving, a leaking injector or an EGR fault will block a DPF again. We tell you what caused it, not just what it cost.

A diagnostic and forced regeneration is usually 1–2 hours. A deep clean can take longer, and we'll always confirm timing before you book in.
