What our mobile EGR service covers
Live EGR diagnostics
We read live valve position, commanded versus actual flow, MAF and boost data alongside every stored and pending fault code, so you know the real cause before spending money on parts.
Carbon cleaning
Most EGR faults are carbon build-up, not a failed valve. Where the valve is serviceable we strip, clean and refit it, and clean the inlet path where needed.
Valve, cooler & sensor replacement
Seized valves, split coolers, failed position sensors and blocked pipework replaced with quality parts, then tested on live data before we leave.
Calibration & adaptation reset
After the repair the ECU adaptations are reset and the valve relearned so the engine runs correctly rather than carrying old fuelling corrections.
Repeat-fault prevention
Short-journey driving is the main reason EGRs re-block. We tell you honestly what caused it and what will stop it happening again.
Road-legal work only
We repair and restore the emissions system properly. Your vehicle stays road-legal and MOT compliant, and your original file is always saved.
Cars & vans we work on
Any make, any model — these are the EGR jobs we see most often.
EGR FAQs
Can a blocked EGR valve be cleaned instead of replaced?
Very often, yes. Carbon build-up is the most common cause and a proper strip and clean restores normal operation. We only recommend replacement when the valve is seized, electrically faulty or the cooler has failed.
How long does the job take?
Most EGR jobs are completed in one visit, typically 1–3 hours depending on how accessible the valve is on your engine.
Will it fix my limp mode?
If the limp mode is caused by an EGR flow fault, yes. That's exactly why we diagnose first — sometimes the real cause is a boost leak, a turbo actuator or a blocked DPF, and we'd rather find that than replace the wrong part.
