Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16/08/2026
1. Who we are
Quick ECU Performance is an ECU tuning business based in Salford, Greater Manchester. We can be contacted by phone at 07428 588650.
2. What information we collect
We collect the following:
- Information you give us — your name, phone number, email address, vehicle details (make, model, year, registration) and any message you send through our contact form, by phone, by text or on WhatsApp.
- Technical and usage information — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived on our site (for example by clicking a Google ad). This is collected through cookies and similar technologies only where you have given consent.
We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we do not collect special category (sensitive) personal data unless you choose to include it in a message.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, provide quotes, book appointments, deliver our DPF, EGR, AdBlue and ECU remapping services, keep records of work carried out, and to measure how our advertising performs. We do not sell your personal data.
Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are: consent (for non-essential cookies, advertising and analytics), contract (to provide the service you asked for), legitimate interests (to run and improve our business and respond to enquiries) and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data only where necessary, with: our website and hosting provider, our email and messaging providers, Google (for advertising and analytics, where you have consented), and our accountant or HMRC where the law requires it. Some of these providers, including Google, may process data outside the UK; where that happens we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, such as UK/EU standard contractual clauses.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept for up to 12 months. Customer and job records are kept for 6 years to meet tax and accounting requirements. Cookie and analytics data is retained for up to 14 months. Data is stored securely and we take reasonable steps to protect it from unauthorised access or disclosure.
6. Cookies, Google Ads and Analytics
We use essential cookies that make the website work, and — only if you press “Accept” on our cookie banner — non-essential cookies for advertising and analytics. These may include Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing tags and Google Analytics, which use cookies and identifiers to tell us which ads and pages lead to enquiries. Google acts as a separate controller for some of this data.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which brings the cookie banner back, or by using your browser’s cookie settings. You can also opt out at Google Ads Settings. More information is available in Google’s privacy notice for partner sites.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Contact us and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
